At Hazlewoods, we know our clients don’t just choose us for our accountancy expertise — they choose us for our vibrant, friendly, and sociable team. And that’s exactly why we think you will love working here too.
We are now seeking a skilled and commercially aware Mixed Tax Senior to join our award-winning tax team, with a focus on supporting clients in the legal sector.
Why Hazlewoods?
You’re unique – so are we.
We know that every tax professional brings a unique blend of experience, insight, and ambition. That’s why we don’t offer one-size-fits-all roles — we encourage you to build your career around your individual strengths.
When you join our tax team, you are not just taking a job — you are building a career with purpose. You will work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about what they do, in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. With access to a diverse client base, award-winning training, and real opportunities to progress, Hazlewoods is the place to grow your expertise and make a real impact.
We care about work/life balance offering flexible working, wellbeing initiatives, and a vibrant social committee.
As well as a competitive salary, we offer enhanced benefits, and an employee profit share scheme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of personal, partnership, and corporate tax clients.
- Advising on partnership and corporate tax, profit allocation, and remuneration strategies.
- Reviewing personal and corporate tax returns.
- Advise on benefits in kind and P11D forms.
- Supporting clients with HMRC enquiries, payments, and compliance matters.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities, including succession planning and restructuring.
- Assisting with the mentoring and coaching junior staff.
What we are looking for:
- You should be ACA, ACCA, or equivalently qualified. CTA is a plus, and we are happy to support you if you are working towards it.
- You bring solid experience in personal tax. Corporate tax exposure is beneficial, but not essential as we will help you build that expertise.
- You are confident at building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues, contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
- You can communicate clearly, manage your time effectively, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- This role sits within our sector-specific legal team. While prior experience with legal clients is helpful, it’s not required — we will support you in becoming a trusted adviser in the sector.
