Our specialist team supports a client base that extends far beyond traditional farming, working predominantly with landed estates, heritage property owners, rural landowners, and long‑established family trusts. We are now seeking a Tax Associate Director/Director to play a key leadership role within this growing area of the firm.

  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, including partnerships, trusts, and high net worth individuals
  • Lead advisory projects and deliver complex tax planning for estates, landowners, and rural wealth structures - including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and succession planning
  • Act as a senior role model within the tax team, mentoring and developing colleagues while promoting a high‑performance culture
  • Work closely with the Accounts team to provide integrated and commercially focused client service
  • Strengthen existing client relationships and identify new opportunities to grow the service line
  • Provide strategic tax advice to rural businesses, property owners, and family groups
  • Support partners in delivering technical, high‑value advisory work across capital taxes, trusts, and multigenerational planning

What We’re Looking For

  • ACA/ACCA or ATT, and CTA qualified
  • Strong experience in private client, estates, or rural sector taxation
  • Leadership capability, with well‑developed coaching and people development skills
  • Commercially astute, client‑focused, and confident building trusted relationships
  • Interest in capital taxes, trusts, and succession planning
  • STEP qualification beneficial but not essential
