Senior Marketing Executive (Digital‑Focused)

About the Role
The Hazlewoods Marketing team promotes our accounting, tax and advisory services through dynamic local and national campaigns that strengthen our brand, retain clients and attract new ones.
We are looking for a talented, confident and proactive senior marketer with strong all‑round experience and a passion for digital marketing. In this pivotal role, you will own, write, implement and track marketing plans and budgets, while also supporting the wider team with digital expertise.
You’ll join a close‑knit, collaborative team that shares ideas openly and works together to deliver results. If you're new to accountancy marketing, you’ll be fully supported as you grow your knowledge of our sectors and audiences.
As we continue to evolve our marketing strategy, you will play a key part in advancing our digital and data‑driven initiatives, helping us reach new audiences and strengthen our digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing plans and budgets aligned to sector strategies.
- Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to enhance our digital reach.
- Run regular marketing review meetings, advising and challenging senior internal stakeholders with confidence.
- Create compelling multi‑channel campaigns, including events (hosting/exhibiting), targeted digital advertising and email activity.
- Write engaging copy and manage website and social media content for your allocated sectors, ensuring regular fresh updates.
- Deliver insights and reports on digital campaigns, web performance and analytics, adjusting activity to maximise results.
- Track and record new business leads proactively.
- Maintain clean, accurate and GDPR‑compliant client and prospect data.
- Liaise with external suppliers, including designers, video teams and digital agencies.
Key skills required:
- A degree and/or CIM Marketing Diploma or Level 4 marketing qualification.
- At least 5 years’ marketing experience, ideally in a B2B environment (desirable but not essential).
- Strong campaign implementation experience.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with confidence to challenge and influence.
- An analytical mindset, with experience in campaign reporting and managing large datasets.
- Excellent digital skills, including WordPress, DotDigital and Sprout Social.
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics and SEO.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and Canva.
- Strong copywriting skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience organising and delivering high‑quality internal and external events.
- Resilient, well‑organised and able to prioritise calmly and effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team and are happy to step in and support others.
- Positive, proactive and can‑do approach to work.
In this role you will also need:
- Flexibility: Regular travel between our Cheltenham and Staverton offices is required, along with occasional travel to breakfast and evening events in Bristol, Cardiff or Birmingham.
- Driving licence: You must hold a full UK driving licence.
