Marketing Assistant

About the role
The Hazlewoods Marketing team promotes the firm’s accounting, tax and advisory services to retain existing clients, attract new ones, and raise the profile of the Hazlewoods brand through dynamic local and national campaigns.
We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of a wide range of marketing activity in a varied and hands-on role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build broad marketing experience across multiple channels including website, social media, email marketing, events, video, promotional merchandise and marketing data.
You’ll work closely with the Marketing Managers and, over time, take ownership of your own initiatives. You’ll be an integral part of a focused, friendly and supportive team, in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative marketing team where your ideas are valued, your development is encouraged, and you’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of marketing within a respected professional services firm.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Marketing Managers with the implementation of marketing campaigns
- Run Hazlewoods’ social media channels, creating content and supporting the wider team
- Assist with email marketing (Dotdigital) and Google Ads campaigns
- Update and maintain the website
- Create and edit video content
- Help organise and support a range of events
- Assist with database management, including data input, updates and mailing lists
- Work with third-party suppliers to ensure delivery on time and within budget
- Act as the main point of contact for the intranet and manage updates
- Manage and organise digital assets
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing Director and the wider team
- Champion brand consistency and ensure adherence to brand guidelines
Key requirements:
- You’ll be confident, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple projects at once.
- You’ll have a creative flair, a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
Skills and experience:
- Degree and/or CIM Marketing Diploma
- 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing role
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with excellent spelling and grammar
- Experience updating websites using a CMS such as WordPress
- Experience using email marketing software, ideally Dotdigital
- Experience using social media platforms and scheduling tools
- Experience updating customer databases and supporting data cleansing
- Experience creating and editing video content
- Ideally experienced with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro, plus Canva
- Experience working with and managing third-party suppliers
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between offices and events when required
