Hazlewoods Veterinary team is a recognised specialist within the profession, advising veterinary practices and business owners across the UK. As the team continues to grow, we're looking for a Mixed Tax Senior/Associate Manager to join us in Cheltenham.
This role offers a combination of personal and corporate tax work, with responsibility for managing a portfolio of veterinary practices and their owners. Alongside compliance responsibilities, you'll also gain exposure to a range of advisory projects, helping clients navigate key business and personal tax decisions.
The Role
You'll work closely with Partners, Directors and colleagues across our wider Veterinary team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and building long-term trusted relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of veterinary practices, business owners and related entities
- Reviewing personal and corporate tax returns and computations
- Advising clients on both personal and corporate tax matters
- Supporting a range of tax planning projects, including remuneration planning and ownership changes
- Working on succession planning and Employee Ownership Trust projects
- Supporting acquisitions, disposals and other strategic business decisions
- Building strong client relationships and communicating complex tax matters in a clear and practical way
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider Veterinary service line to deliver a joined-up client experience
About You
We're interested in speaking with individuals who:
- Are ACA or ACCA qualified/or QBE (min. 3 years)
- Have experience across both personal and corporate tax
- Are confident managing client relationships
- Enjoy building trusted adviser relationships with business owners
- Have strong communication skills and can explain technical matters clearly
- Have a commercial and proactive approach to client service
- Enjoy supporting and developing junior team members
